About DGCC & Paul J. Blanchard

Dezign Graphix Creative Café is a full-time freelance graphic design studio. The business is located in Columbus, Ohio and consists of a large, massive, huge work force of… one…me! Paul J. Blanchard. I started my own business in 1995 and have been at it ever since.

As a freelance graphic designer, I enjoy working directly with you to fulfill your advertising design needs. When we work together, the expensive overhead of an ad agency is eliminated. Our meeting time is more productive because you and I have the conversation about where you are now, and where you want to be.

When your business is in need of advertising design and marketing materials but the cost of an agency is out of your budget, this is where I come in. I will give your project my full attention.

I am an accomplished art and creative director, designer, illustrator and photographer. I have experience with several vendors to produce your project on time and within budget.

I am proficient in the creation of magazines, catalogs, brochures, logos, newsprint, menus, packaging, murals, direct-mail, brand management, outdoor advertising, illustration, graphic design, posters, marketing materials and directional signage.

Some of my clients include:

  • CAPA/Columbus Symphony Orchestra
  • Columbus Italian Festival
  • GSW/inventive Health
  • Limited Brands/Lane Bryant
  • Mount Carmel Hospital Systems
  • Nationwide Insurance
  • OSU Research Foundation
  • The American Cancer Society
  • The Grote Company

My years of experience have enabled me to be an adjunct instructor for a Fundamentals of Drawing class at Central Ohio Technical College. I structured the class for students to learn basic drawing skills, and to progress to more difficult techniques. At the end of the class, students had an understading of several different styles of drawing.

Prior to starting my own design business, I was an Art Director for The Columbus Symphony where I created the marketing materials to promote all of the Symphony’s events.

At Channel 6 WSYX/ Channel 28 WTTE I created TV/video graphics for the news and special projects.

My first “real job” was with Accugraphics Design Group; a small design firm. I was hired as a designer and progressed to Art Director and Partner.

I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Advertising Design and Illustration at The Columbus College of Art and Design.
